- Identify and interpret catchment requirements according to relevant legislation, codes of practice, industry standards and workplace procedures
- Identify and evaluate stakeholder requirements impacting catchment area
- Gather historical catchment information and evaluate as input to the planning process
- Identify, interpret and assess water quality and quantity requirements
- Identify and interpret environmental factors and other relevant issues impacting catchment area according to regulatory requirements
- Complete risk assessment to ensure catchment area is free from contamination causing no adverse impacts
- Identify and evaluate stakeholder requirements impacting catchment area

- Develop contingency plans based on risk analysis and stakeholder requirements
- Evaluate the catchment plan to ensure compliance against specifications, stakeholder and regulatory requirements
- Review and refine catchment plan
- Review objectives of the catchment and implementation plan and make recommendations for rectifications to ensure compliance against specifications, stakeholder and regulatory requirements
- Communicate corrective actions to users and stakeholders regarding identified catchment area changes
- Perform validation tests to ensure the reviewed plan is compliant against specifications and stakeholder and regulatory requirements
